The Vaal River City project remains on planned course

VANDERBIJLPARK - The Emfuleni Municipality says as part of unlocking the long-awaited Vaal River City, the K174 Interchange is making a huge progress, giving confidence to all investors who made pledges to bring desired investments in the Emfuleni Local Municipality (ELM) and Sedibeng region as a whole. According to ELM, the construction progress observed on the R42/Barrage Road is a clear indication of unwavering commitment to unlock investment opportunities and economic growth by the Gauteng Provincial Government. The key plan is to ensure that Emfuleni is recognized as a notable Special Economic Zone. The municipality says they are excited that the Inter-change has reached a near-completion stage, and that the development of the Vaal River City remains on planned course. The R42/Barrage Road near Bedworthpark is partially closed due to construction work currently underway, and the ELM says the fact that road users have been negatively affected has not gone unnoticed by the municipality. ELM requested affected motorists to exercise patience when driving past the construction site or use alternative roads to get to their various destinations.
