VAAL TRIANGLE - Unemployment Insurance Fund commissioner Teboho Maruping has unveiled a zero-rated mobile app and a free Unstructured Supplementary Service Data platform for clients to access UIF services conveniently and at no cost. The move aims to alleviate long queues at labour centres nationwide. It also seeks to address non-compliance by employers. According to Maruping, embracing technology is important to better serve workers, offering services such as claim status checks and registration verification.
