VEREENIGING - The Gauteng Department of Health says they are currently addressing water issues affecting service delivery at the Kopanong Hospital in Vereeniging, as well as electricity problems at Weskoppies Hospital in Tshwane. Kopanong Hospital is experiencing water supply issues due to low pressure. The department revealed that areas affected by the water interruptions include the theatre, maternity ward, antenatal clinic, and medical wards. However, the ground floor is not affected by the water shortage. The department assures the public that the matter is being attended to and mentions that a contractor is on-site.
