The DA conducted oversight inspections at the police stations in the Vaal Triangle.

DE DEUR - The DA Gauteng Premier Candidate, Solly Msimanga conducted oversight inspections at De Deur Primary School, De Deur and Vaal Police Stations, yesterday, 23 November. This comes after a learner from De Deur Primary school was recently shot due to gang violence. The DA will assess the state of the infrastructure and the availability of resources to ensure that these police stations are adequately equipped to prevent and fight crime. During the oversight inspections, the DA engaged with the Community Policing Forums (CPF) to ascertain the challenges they are faced with when executing their duties. Recent crime statistics indicate an increase in crimes like carjacking, home robberies, and robberies at non-residential properties. The DA says these engagements will assist in finding tangible solutions to curb crime and ensure residents safety.
