MEYERTON - Cert-SA says they responded to a house fire in Meyerton earlier this week, where one person had to be assessed for smoke inhalation. The organisation says they received a call for a house fire in Pump Street in Boltonwold, Meyerton, at around 13:50 pm. Upon arrival, they found Midvaal Fire Department already on the scene and stopped the fire from reaching the house. Unfortunately, there was damage that already occurred and could not have been prevented. Cert-SA says one patient was assessed for smoke inhalation, but luckily, nobody sustained any injuries. The organisation says the fire apparently started with a veld fire that was burning close-by. It was moved in the direction fo the house by a strong wind that was blowing. Cert-SA thanked Midvaal Fire and Rescue and ER24 for the assistance on the scene.
