Pedestrian killed after being hit by a motor vehicle on the R59

MEYERTON - CERT-SA says a pedestrian has died after being hit by a motor vehicle on the R59 in Meyerton, Gauteng. The organisation says its Vaal crew received a call for the incident that occurred on the R59 between Johan Le Roux and Meyer Road in Meyerton at around 14:00. Upon arrival on scene, it was determined that a male pedestrian had been hit by a motor vehicle and was lying next to the highway. Unfortunately, the man succumbed to his injuries and was declared dead on scene. CERT-SA says the circumstances surrounding the incident are not yet clear. The scene was handed over to Meyerton SAPS, and the incident will be investigated.
