Gauteng launches ePanic button to boost safety

VAAL TRIANGLE - Vaal Triangle and other Gauteng residents can now make use of a new facility that can contribute to community safety. The Gauteng Provincial Government has introduced the Gauteng ePanic Button to enhance community safety and combat crime and curb gender-based violence. MEC for Gauteng Department of e-Government Bonginkosi Dhlamini has encouraged residents to use the free service, available as both a physical device and an app on Google Play or the App Store. He describes the Panic Button as a crucial tool for emergencies.
