DA slams Emfuleni Municipality over R200-million spent on sewer repairs with no results

VANDERBIJLPARK - The DA in Gauteng has criticised Emfuleni Local Municipality for spending over R200-million on sewer repairs without resolving the ongoing sewage overflow issues. Despite the municipality’s expenditure over five years, residents continue to face hazardous conditions. The DA’s Kingsol Chabalala warns they will escalate the matter to the South African Human Rights Commission if the problem isn’t resolved.
