Beer party in Sasolburg left 2 killed and 1 injured over parking dispute.

SASOLBURG - The SAPS arrested a 33 year old suspect for double murder and attempted murder that took place at the Kwa Nduna Shisanyama parking lot in Sasolburg in the early hours of Saturday morning. Vaal Journal reports, an altercation over parking space ensued, and after a short while, gunshots rang and bodies dropped on the ground. Following the incident, the shooter tried to flee the scene, however, police gave chase and apprehended the suspect. Free State police spokesperson Sergeant Josephine Rani says a preliminary investigation revealed that the suspect was spinning his vehicle and randomly firing shots through the driver's window. Two people were killed and one is left fighting for his life in hospital. According to Rani, the suspect will appear before the Sasolburg Magistrate Court on Monday 21 August 2023, on charges of murder, attempted murder, discharge of the firearm in a municipal area, handling of the firearm while under the influence and reckless and negligent driving.
